Just spent a couple days trying to get back into it but nope. Spent 20 minutes with a thargoid with a billion dollar max grind cutter and did no damage at all with all the Zeno weapons I could cram on the ship. Soooo grinding on to suits and weapons only to get srv (military grade supposably) destroyed by marines on foot because of horrible lazer accuracy . They got me. Spent more money probably the last time on a still broken grindy mess

There is an upgrade to this game. It's even waaaaay beyond virtual reality. The upgrade provide interfaces for all 6 senses. It has unlimited degrees of freedom. The graphics resolution is limited only to that of your own neuro granularity (varies from person-to-person). Their seem to be no NPC's in this game. The secret successful strategy of this game is, basically, give and server other players in this game. Avoid getting hung up on yourself, and try to get over yourself. Self is not your friend. Success comes in the form of a deep satisfying fulfillment (on many levels), the rich tingling feeling of being loved, intimately, by another player. Raising a family of players yourself. Give it a go. It's easy to start playing right away, because its free.

Hi. 10 year vet here. Was part of groups such as Honorable Third Party, Black Legion and The Initiative. Haven't played since a bit into citadels but the one piece of advice I can give is.... This game is about the people you meet along the way. No other game has given the sense of community(both good and bad) that Eve does.

at this point you pretty much needs a gpu with at least 8gb .. lol my 4070 ti with a ryzen 7 7800 still even has issues.. its just the game not your rig. this game is poorly optimized. it sucks. also hardware acceleration should be disabled. it causes the game to either stutter , or run smoothly and then crash.

When he jumps down behind you, you can also just jump into the hole and he will follow and it'll still count

Yea don't mind me but I'm yoinking that twin blade type build. Been using the cross naginata with my dex faith lightning build, currently just using lightning spear and electrify armament. It works but I'd like something that just hits a bit quicker. never even used a twin blade out of my 4 Complete playthroughs (R.o.B. / moonveil / blasphemous blade / marika's hammer (ng+)). So I can't wait to get started

You should NEVER start playing EVE Online as there is no way out. Started 01-01-2011 and still can not get it out of my head. Will drop back in perhaps (again). Thanks and fly safe.

For those wondering, there is a new hoarfrost stomp that has lower range but is MUCH more powerful than base hoarfrost stomp. Its called Divine beast frost stomp. Its in the dlc.

great review. Talking about end game in eve is almost pointless. Ive seen ppl, including myself, starting with the basic ships and advancing to the more advanced ships and then walking back to using more basic ships and tools again. In my case it happened when I started discovering the mind games aspect of EVE. Creative thinking in this game is hgihly rewarding.

This game is dead. Especially on consoles.. I'm in the most popular station that pvp ganks happen at.. nothing! I look up all the guides to find aliens or make money? NOTHING! All the 3rd party tools like EDDB and INARA are abandoned and outdated.. Find NOTHING! mining for hours to make mere fractions of what i used to in 30 minutes. Massacre missions and exploits with wings is t only way too make back make money and its boring.. MADE NOTHING! Oh.. let's not forget that the latest expansion Odyssey divides the players from Horizons the last update... So I can't play with friends, multicrew.. the co-op feature does not work.. and when it does? People only use it for exploits and not to help people or get lost in a game.. The Expansions also have separate planets.. so while everyone is off killing Orthus Aliens for like 80 million per kill ez game I go to the same planet? I can't even land on it to look for spires to kill the aliens... JUST A LOT OF.. you guessed it.. NOTHING! Combat is a joke for both good and bad players.. weapon balance is non-existent engineering breaks the game while making it more grindy.. DLC and future updates.. ONLY AVAILABLE ON PC And honestly.. if I had a PC I would play Star Citizen instead. Mostly because there's stuff to do and they didn't abandon 3/4ths of their playerbase...

I played the game for about 5 or 6 months a few years ago but gave up because I didn't meet anyone to play with and I just continuously got killed and killed and killed and didn't have enough income to make up for the lost ships. I've started thinking about Eve again and this video was pretty helpful. Several of the things I remember but I never did finish alot of the things you dug into so maybe it's worth an Alpha trial to see if renewing all my Omega skills will be worth while. GREAT review! I've been playing Eve since its launch. Yes, I am that old! Granted I've taken years off from playing regularly. Eve is a game you are either going to live or hate. It's not a difficult game to just play. You can care bear around for decades if you feel like it. You can run a massive evil empire that is constantly at war. You can mine one particular type of asteroid for 5 years and do nothing else. You can fight only other players. You can fight only npc players. Eve truly is a sandbox more than any game I have ever played. I have always told people to just download the game and try it. It made it much easier when the f2p option rolled out.

Should've probably mentioned being 'suicide ganked' in high sec for the new players...because it WILL happen and it while they are mining or doing anything. Not mentioning it only sets them up for massive disappointment. Happened to me many times, and it really puts you off the game because of the wasted efforts you spend in the game. TRUTH

The only game I have played where 2 year old players are still thought of as noobs lol. In seriousness, the potentials of the game and how to move toward it is my enjoyment. Creating, developing and implementing a plan, a program, is part of the fascination of the game. Eve is not a marathon, its a series of them.

A once great space sim that is riddled with a game engine that is strapped with technical debt & unscalable for meaningful content DLC. The game has the best 1:1 Galaxy in gaming. Unfortunately , it's completely void of any types of game mechanics to further enhance the experience. Would love to come back & play this game , but the Star Citizen fever is just too hard to leave. My imagination is allowed to do more in that space sim than this one. Do I regret buying ED?? HELL NO!! I like others have outgrown the game & need more. But if you've never played Elite , I suggest you do. It's worth it. But be warned , everything is done at a snails pace on the dev side. o7

I did this and when the lift went up he didn’t fall back down so I waited a bit and then I pulled the lever to bring it down and… he was gone. I went up to the top and he wasn’t there either. But thanks for the advice lol

My friend asked me to play Elite with him when it came out. Apparently, I had logged about 80 hours, but stepped away due to not having the adequate time to really immerse in the world... 3 years ago, I got it for another pal and we messed around for about a week, but ended up not diving in... Now, in 2024, My kid graduated from college and I've found the time. I've only got about 700 hrs into it and I am Blown Away by the Scope of this Experience. I also have Star Citizen, but Elite just Feels Complete... Out in The Black is Serene and Beautiful to Behold. Cheers, Commanders!

Played many space games and sadly there isnt a great deal. I think elite is an awsome game i just wish it was still developed for console but for the price of $38 with the expansion you cant complain.
